MEET KIM

Kimberly Cremers, PharmD, is a licensed pharmacist and humanitarian with over 20 years of experience in medical affairs within the pharmaceutical and biotech industry. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated success in leading medical affairs teams across six companies, handling products throughout their lifecycle and spanning various therapeutic areas. Notably, her expertise lies in effectively and compliantly fostering scientific exchange with healthcare professionals. Presently, she utilizes her extensive background as an external consultant, aiding organizations in the development or enhancement of their Medical Affairs capabilities, specifically Medical Science Liaisons.

As the Founder and CEO of Petrichor Medical Affairs Consulting, Dr. Cremers provides extensive strategic guidance, planning, training, and executional support tailored to organizations seeking to establish, optimize, or expand their Medical Science Liaison team. Drawing upon decades of in-house experience at Immunex, Amgen, Sandoz (TriNet Pharma), Seattle Genetics, UCB, and Scipher Medicine, encompassing both field-based and headquarters roles, Dr. Cremers brings forth a wealth of wisdom and insights. Additionally, her career trajectory encompasses positions as a clinical pharmacist and medication safety pharmacist, further enriching her expertise in the pharmaceutical industry.

Aligned with her passion for teaching about the pivotal role of pharmacists within the industry, Dr. Cremers has developed and currently serves as Director of the "Introduction to the Pharmaceutical Industry" course at the University of Colorado Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences and The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy. This graduate-level course offers students comprehensive insights spanning the drug development continuum, from early-stage development to Medical Affairs, including the role of our commercial colleagues.

Dr. Cremers earned her BS in Pharmacy from The Ohio State University and her PharmD from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science. She completed a General Practice Residency at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, and a Specialty Oncology Residency at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida.

Dr. Cremers is a dedicated humanitarian, regularly devoting her time to both local and global causes. She has undertaken six field assignments as a pharmacist with Doctors Without Borders, serving in Swaziland, South Sudan, Gaza, Liberia, and Uganda. Additionally, her volunteer efforts extend to various areas, including working with foster children, participating in home-building projects, mentoring, and serving in Board roles. In her leisure time, she enjoys traveling, spending quality time with friends and family, and engaging in outdoor activities such as cycling, hiking, golfing, and kayaking.
