Why do you look tall on Zoom?

Why do you look tall on Zoom? was a question posed to me after my recent post. I’ve been mulling that over while watching the comments with my favorite being from Lisa Clark that I have a “tall spirit”. Perhaps that is the case, and I’ll take the compliment, but I think it’s a bit simpler.
I place my camera so that it faces me straight on (not from below or above) and ensure it is positioned so head is pretty close to the top of the screen. I do by raising my desk and using a camera that drops to the middle of my screen which also facilitates eye contact.
I think the more important factor is that I stand while facilitating the Harvard Medical School Executive Program for Senior Life Sciences Leaders discussions. When standing, I have more energy, move more naturally, and don’t get complacent with my posture.
Simple enough.
What are your tricks for “looking tall” on camera?
How do you stay energized when presenting or facilitating remotely?
And if you’re still not clear, I am not tall unless compared to a young child.
